In my article about the offensive anti-Muslim cartoons published in Denmark, I pointed out that Flemming Rose, the "cultural editor" who commissioned and first published the cartoons, has clear ties to the Jewish Neo-Con ideologue Daniel Pipes.
I contacted Daniel Pipes about his relationship with Mr. Rose and asked him about Rose's connection with the Neo-Con agenda, Zionism, and ethnic background. While Rose has twice told me that he is not Jewish, I still suspect his connection with the Neo-Cons is due to his affinity for Israel and the Zionist agenda. Rose has not answered my questions about his religion or his position on free speech and the Holocaust.
My correspondence with Daniel Pipes is copied below. All Pipes would say is "no comment."
The following paragraphs from my article briefly explain the Zionist Neo-Con connection between Flemming Rose and Daniel Pipes:
"Agents of certain persuasion" are behind the egregious affront to Islam in order to provoke Muslims, Professor Mikael Rothstein of the University of Copenhagen told the BBC. The key "agent" is Flemming Rose, the cultural editor of JP, who commissioned cartoonists to produce the blasphemous images and then published them in Denmark's leading morning paper last September.
"The International Herald Tribune, which reported on the offensive cartoons on January 1, noted that even the liberalism of Rose had its limits when it came to criticism of Zionist leaders and their crimes. Rose also has clear ties to the Zionist Neo-Cons behind the "war on terror."
"Rose told the international paper owned by The New York Times that "he would not publish a cartoon of Israel's Ariel Sharon strangling a Palestinian baby, since that could be construed as 'racist.'"
"Asked why he was protecting Sharon, a known war criminal, while abusing Muslims and their Prophet in the name of free speech, Rose told American Free Press that he had been "misquoted" in the Times article.
"Rose traveled to Philadelphia in October 2004 to visit Daniel Pipes, the Neo-Con ideologue who says the only path to Middle East peace will come through a total Israeli military victory. Rose then penned a positive article about Pipes, who compares "militant Islam" with fascism and communism.
"In April 2003, President George W. Bush nominated the rabid anti-Muslim Pipes to the board of the United States Institute of Peace, a congressionally sponsored think tank dedicated to 'the peaceful resolution of international conflicts.'" (End of quotes)

Dear Mr. Pipes,
What do you think about the Danish cartoon scandal about the blasphemous images commissioned and published by Flemming Rose of Jyllands Posten?
Since you know Mr. Rose, can you give me your opinion on his decision to publish these anti-Islamic images?
How well do you know Mr. Rose?
Would you say he is sympathetic to the Neo-Con agenda in the Middle East?
Do you know if he is sympathetic to the Zionist agenda?
Do you know if he is of Jewish ethnicity?
Thank you for your consideration of these questions.

The next day, Daniel Pipes responded thusly to my questions about the cartoon conspiracy:

Photo: Daniel Pipes, the rabid Zionist Neo-Con was the subject of a positive article written by Flemming Rose, the editor who commissioned the offensive cartoons. So, Mr. Pipes, who is the "hidden hand" behind the cartoon scandal?
The following is how Pipes was described by Michael Scherer in his May 2003 article, "Daniel Pipes, Peacemaker?"
"Like many other Middle East scholars, Daniel Pipes sees a way to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. But unlike most of his peers, Pipes sees no room for negotiation, no hope for compromise and no use for diplomacy. "What war had achieved for Israel," Pipes explained at a recent Zionist conference in Washington DC, "diplomacy has undone."
"His solution is simple: The Israeli military must force what Pipes describes as a "change of heart" by the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza -- a sapping of the Palestinian will to fight which can lead to a complete surrender. "How is a change of heart achieved? It is achieved by an Israeli victory and a Palestinian defeat," Pipes continued. "The Palestinians need to be defeated even more than Israel needs to defeat them."
