PA - A "GAME" OF POKER! AT STAKE: THE AMERICAN PEOPLE..
So the House has voted down the Patriot Acts and prolonged it 'till February 3rd only. What leaves Esclarmonde "Dizzy" - and I think she might not be the only one feeling this way - could be explained the following way:
This all seems to be a "game of Chess" or "strip-Poker". Who blinks first? And WHICH powers are "given" to the ptbs in US WHEN. The crucical "deadline" seems to be March 2006, where Iran has openly "threatened" the US$ by opening an EURO OIL BOURSE. Remember, that THIS is the SAME "DEADLINE" - Israel has announced for a (possible) military action against the "nookliar" plants in Iran...
So it might be that ONE OF THE intentions about the Patriot Acts is for "external use" - for the sake of US's international policy (the "survival" of the US$) - AND(!!) at the same time fulfilling the Global elite's "wet dreams" for harsher domestic laws all around the world which clearly seems to be an AGENDA of utter importance for those ptbs. So - it's still not out for me completely what this all may bring. One one hand there is still the Damocle's Sword of the Patriot Acts "hanging" over the heads of the American people - on the other hand it could be used as a "life-boat" for the survival of the US$ likewise...
As Iran's prezi Ahmadineyad - who has drawn worldwide attention by his latest holocaust-remarks - is countering rising resistance within Iran - strangely triggered by just those "hardliners" from the clerical circles that (according to our presstitues) are said to have "Promoted" him - there seems to be another "frontline" being opened in Iran by now.
An internal fight - similar to that what seems to be happening right now inside the US. Which faction is stronger, who blinks first, who draws first and who is "shooting" the actual first bullet - against whom.
Ahmadineyad has been discharging many higher echolons inside the Iranian admin lately (more than 10 dept.ministers, the ceo of the state's insurance company, ceo of privatization office, seven ceos of banks) - plus many of Iran's ambassadors - replacing them with his colleagues from his "Republican Gardes" lately - so some voices have been speaking of a "coup de etat" already. As a possible "counter-move" the clerical faction has promoted Ahmadineyad's former rival - Hashemi Rafsanjani - with more administrative powers in the Expediency Council - who has been functioning as a "counterweight" to "Ahmadineyad's rant". Keep in mind that I always was wondering why Ahmadineyad succeeded over Rafsanjani in the latest elections and HOW he did it. Did he get "support" from outside? Was this another silent colorful revolution - "Peacock-wise" - pulled by "external brothers" as obviousely Yushchenko did in Ukraine?
And could it be that Ahmadineyad is indeed working "hand in hand" with those powers in the US-Admin who'd like to see a WWIII? Which by no means are "representing" the US-Admin - and the American people - alone?

The crux of the Bush administration's conduct of FOREIGN policy since Bush's inauguration has been the unipolarilty of American actions abroad. While all commentators remain fixated upon the unconstitutional aspects of the Patriot Acts, they have missed its primary purpose: to codify and ratify American foreign aggression in its "war on terror."
Forget the PA's domestic aspects.
Bolton was sent to the UN with the express purpose of defending and extending this policy. The outcome has been an increasingly unipolar opposition to this policy of "invading the world."
If the PA's are permitted to sunset, the Bush administration looses its first and last legal leg to continue the occupation of Iraq and expand its ME war. This leaves Israel in the lurch, while Iran has become so emboldened as to engage in sabre rattling and anti-Israeli rhetoric.
What are the possible outcomes of allowing the PA's to expire?: 1) Israel must go it alone, attack Iran, which moots the PA expiration; the US defends its ally 2) same scenario, but the US abandons Israel 3) the last card left to play to support the Petrodollar regime, military aggression, is trumped and foreclosure begins on US Inc.
As far as foreign policy is concerned, the expiration or extension of the PA's is a lose/lose proposition for America, which either goes down fighting or is dismantled piecemeal. Best...

So he sees those aspects of the Patriot Acts in foreign policy likewise.
But, we shouldn't "forget the PA's domestic aspects" at all.
So - what this may bring for the people inside the US - is still another obstacle - as the PAs might be used in very treatening ways against the American people as well. And moreover - they represent an imminent danger if they are not in place as well, for this could trigger another 9/11 - of even worse proportions - inside the US again. A "Catch-22"-situation indeed! Why we have been arriving at this unholy picture of the "Damocle's Sword again - which might fall down on the people - or not.
So all speculations come down on the integrity of the American leaders against their own people. And this is a factor I wouldn't reckon with neccessarily to be called "benevolent".
