I pretty much know scripture, I just could not find in NT the quote where Jesus says: those who hide in the dark "for fear of the Jews".
The sentence was: "When his supporters quote from the New Testament and admonish, in the words of Jesus, those who hide in the dark 'for fear of the Jews'........".
The word "Dark" appears only 4 times throughout the New Testament: Luke 11:36 "Skoteinos" (to have darkness inside you) - John 6:17 + John 20:1 "Skotia" (both times refers to time of day - Dark as in night) - and 2Peter 1:19 "Auchmeros" (a place with no light).
I can find no words by Jesus in the New testament where while talking about people who hide in the dark, he states that they do so "for fear of the Jews".
Maybe I am mistaken as to what the Author is saying here? Oh well, sorry for the Trouble, Farsight!!!!!!!
