The authorship of the NT has never been established with any final certainty. Biblical exegetes however agree that no NT was committed to paper until approx. 60 CE, leading them to surmise a pre-existing oral tradition.

"Fear of the Jews" would therefore have to be amended to reflect historical fact, whatever the credibility of Jesus of Nazareth's legendary history: fear of the Sadducees, nobles of the Herodian family and Roman Jewish clients, and would have been tantamount to "fear of the Romans." In the 12th century there was a war raging throughout Italy. the papacy wasn't in "good condition" as the German House of Hohenstaufer - under Frederick I - took possession of Sicily. Yes, we can learn a lot by reviewing History - if we find out what's behind those "actions" and "dates" that are thrown in front of us "pupils" in school.
See? - History always repeats itself. Century after century, decade after decade. See, how "Nationalism" and "Love for your country" is always painted as "looser"? "Nationalism" versis "Globalism" - actually nothing has changed - only the scale has been altered. Is it really a ""Law of History" that "The imperial trumps the national"?
