DEFRAGMENTATION
- by Spiritwind
The beginning of healing the fragmentation within starts with ending the competition and struggle within. We learn that the universe is a safe and supporting place which we can trust if respect and honour is shown to everything around and within, is the beginning of surrendering of the ego. Ego learns its place, by seeing its greater role in the whole over thinking it is the ruler of it all. It is true that as far as ego goes, everyone wants to rule the world.
Getting beyond the warrior/ess parts of ourselves, by learning the limitations of ego, and assuring this part will be protected as well, perhaps will go a long way to allowing the ego to let us proceed to higher levels with the self. Embrace the fears for letting go and by giving them a hug and a comforting word within, move into uncharted waters for ourselves.
All is well, if we could see on higher levels. There is no need to be critical and judgemental, spurring oneself to be something it is not. Understanding the Who that I am, and accepting every part of me as another aspect of myself allows me to slowly awaken those parts within that have been fragmented and swept under the rug without allowance to be seen. Gently observe parts of oneself to understand the fearful parts.
What is it I am afraid of? Why do I feel attacked? Why do I need to defend myself so minutely? Who am I attacking as a good defence for myself? Am I feeding fear within, or love? Have I had enough nurturing in my life/ Has my hand been held, and have I been cuddled lately? If there is no one to do that for me unconditionally, then we need to put our own arms around ourselves, be a nice and good parent that we have all wished for, and hug and cuddle oneself to feel comfortable again.
Meditate on the good things friends like about you. Is it just to be liked, or is that a genuine part that likes to love unconditionally everything that it comes in contact with? Why does any of this ever need to be paid for? Let it all flow, for free, and without thought of what I can get in return. A lot of the time, love returns through a different face at a different place and at another time when we least expect it.
Feed oneself the good food, both for the body, mind, and spirit. What we eat today (including mentally) walks and talks tomorrow, is an old saying. Tune out the fear based media, by turning off the TV and forget about the radio, newspaper, and gossip. Good news never helped the media sell themselves, so little of that can be found on those fronts while the status quo remains the way it is. Aid others in the self development process, and always think about how one can heal the fragments to become whole again.
Learn what herbs are growing around your house and the place you live, as nature always provides the different tools depending on the issues, around each person's place. This is natural medicine nature knows each person needs, and provides it through unconditional love. Place oneself in the right environment conducive to inner healing, and if that means taking time out to do a retreat or days in meditation, then make the time and place to do so.
Support is readily available in many retreats, if one simply looks beyond the religious aspects if one does not ascribe to those beliefs. Trust that unconditional love flows everywhere, and all we need to do is identify where it flows around us all of the time. Be gentle and kind to yourself, and calm the angry seas through allowance of love within to dissolve the inner frustrations.
Forgive yourself any wrongs that are now passed, and reflect on how your new views can transform even the perceptions around such past events, so that the results then become different even if the facts remain the same. By placing oneself in right environments, healing begins. It doesn't need to be rushed, as it always demands time to learn what made it so to begin with through contemplation, and intent on how one can change things simply by coming from another, more positive place from ones own thoughts.
Where wrongs seem to exist, think about the good times had, not the bad, as most of the time, there are more good times than bad, that simply need to be remembered. If there are none, then just go and sit and watch the movie of life to identify the good over the bad that has never been recognized for what it is. Listen to the music that nature provides, and the soothing rustling of the leaves as the wind moves through them in a patterns that soothe the soul.
Seldom is the wind angry. Same goes for ourselves, and nature around us. Listen to a babbling brook, or the lap of the waves on a sea shore. There is flow and rhythm to it all, along with gentle power that calls for respect and a knowing of the various elements. By thus allowing everything to talk to me in their own language, perhaps I can learn new languages, the free giving, and the free receiving of the love flowing everywhere all around each and every one of us.
By tuning into the Wholeness of it all, we begin to reflect this wholeness in love with everything.
