AMMAN UPDATE: CHINA'S "NEW COZYNESS" WITH PALI TARGETED
Palestinians will hold a rally on Friday in commemoration of their late leader Yasser Arafat, who died on Nov. 11, 2004, in a French hospital. So the 'error-bombings were on time. But let me draw your attention on something "completely different":
China has been flirting with Palestine recently.
At the invitation of Chines President Hu Jintao, President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas had payed a state visit to China from May 17th to 19th, opening new doors in the relation of both countries.
From China's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Kong Quan's Press Conference on 19 May 2005, where this visit and its goals were discussed more deeply:
Q: Mr. Abbas is visiting China. Does China offer economic assistance to the Palestinian side this time? If so, please introduce the content and amount of the assistance.
A: President of Palestine National Authority Abbas concluded his visit to China and left today. During his visit, Mr.Abbas met with Chinese leaders including President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao and State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan. Foreign Ministers of the two sides also had a meeting. The meetings covered a wide range of in-depth topics. The consensus reached by the two sides includes further developing mutually-beneficial and friendly cooperative relations, making joint efforts to push forward the Middle-East peace process, and so on. As far as I know, China and Palestinian side signed five documents of cooperation during this visit, including China-Palestine agreement of economic and technological cooperation, agreement of economic, trade and technological cooperation. China agreed to offer 50 million-worth economic aids and gratis, some aids in kind such as medical equipment, mobile houses and cultural and sports utilities....
Now three Chinese victims were among the dead of the Amman bombings as I suggested before. They belonged to a Delegation of the Chinese Defense Forces - obviousely holding talks with their Palestinian and/or Jordanian colleagues - under the "protecting hands" of the Jordanian Govt...
BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Three Chinese were killed and one wounded Wednesday evening in bomb attacks against three hotels in the Jordanian capital Amman, said a press release carried on the Website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
The dead and wounded were members of a delegation from China's University of National Defense, which happened to stay at one of the three hotels, the press release said.
The Foreign Affairs Office of China's Defense Ministry identified the dead as Sun Jingbo, Zhang Kangping and Pan Wei, whowere at the age of 41, 42 and 44, respectively.
The wounded, 42-year-old Yao Liqiang, suffered from a leg fracture. Yao was under medical treatment at a military hospital and was out of danger, according to the Foreign Affairs Office.
The other members of the delegation have been transferred to one of Jordan's military bases under the escort of the Jordanian army, the office said.
Officials with the Foreign Ministry said the delegation arrived in Amman on Thursday and checked in at the Days Inn hotel.
At around 9:00 p.m. local time Thursday night, the delegation, seeing no sign of tragedy, was backing to the hotel after attending a welcoming dinner at the Chinese embassy in Jordan.
The bomb blasted on the street four to five meters outside the hotel, killing one Chinese on the spot and wounding another three. Two of the three wounded died later in hospital.
The Chinese don't forget easily. Whoever is the REAL CULPRIT of these heinous acts will have to bear heavy consequences. There could be an internal struggle inside of the Palestinian power-structures - who are heavily undermined by all kind of Israeli factions as well. This could explain the forewarning to Israeli citizens as well - as Israeli secret services should know of EVERYTHING what's happening inside the Palestinian authority - which in fact is a "Israeli authority". Either they let it simply happen - or they are those who are responsible of this mess...
