Anyhow, I would like to invite you to start a more thorough investigation from the first "clues" of my inputs. It's indeed an "art" to transform the spherical-trigonometry-grid to a usable 2D-projection - but I think that it could be negligated if we speak of such "small" distances - in relation to the measurements of the Earth. Best would be although to work in this case with Satellite pics, if available to you...
I've started now myself to work on a map - related to the layout of Washington D.C. - and what you can see at first glimpse is that THERE SEEMS to be a "certain" relation of the Pentagon-Building to the original grid of the Capital of the U.S..
Not exactly what is stated on the site above, but there might be some other relations in fact.
See, where the Northern corner of the Pentagon(8) does "aim" at (red arrow): Towards the Lincoln Memorial(1). This place seems to be an important part of the whole "construct". For not to say ONE's OF THE MOST IMPORTANT besides the PENTAGRAMM above the WHITE HOUSE(2), the WHITE HOUSE itself(3), the CAPITOL(4), the OBELISK(5), the ARLINGTON CEMETARY(6) and the MOUNT VERNON SQUARE(7).
If we leave out firsthand the "correct measurements" the construct lies plain before our eyes:
