Gunther Russabacher... with an A between Russ and Bacher... was the name that all of his prison records were in... that is UNTIL he went public with the fact that he was the pilot that flew George Bush back from the 1980 Paris meeting that concluded the treasonous deal to delay the release of the Iranian hostages.
Gunther told me this was done to keep the name Gunther Russbacher from ever having a criminal record.
Once Gunther went public as the October Surprise pilot... all of his prison records were changed to Gunther Russbacher... with no A between Russ and bacher.
Why was the name originally spelled Russabacher? I have often wondered about this... and the only thing I can conclude is that he was put in prison when he was under cover on covert missions where it was vital that Gunther Russbacher NOT be connected with the missions!
For all I know, for the 9 years that he and I were married, he was ONLY in prison on the days I went to visit him!!
