: My guess is that it was the Terence Conran organisation, which part-owns the Great Eastern Hotel, which was to host the Israeli stock-exchange conference at which Netanyahu was set to speak.
The Great Eastern Hotel fronts on the Liverpool Station where one of the fatal bomb blasts occurred.
CNN is now saying that three bombs went off nearly at the same moment, namely 8:50 AM British Summertime, while the final explosion tore apart the double-decker bus at 9:47 AM.
It is hard to see how B. Netanyahu could have been the target of this planned event, as he was motoring to the Hotel in a secure vehicle, not taking the Tube or riding in a double-decker bus.
The Great Eastern Hotel is not on Great Eastern Street, which is very close to the location of the Tavistock Institute on Tabernacle.
The Tavistock Hotel is not on Tabernacle but rather at Tavistock Square, which is close to Russell Square and which has both Tavistock Place and the University of London nearby.
The double-decker bus ( number 30 ), was blown up at Tavistock Place ( is this correct ?? ).
Today MSNBC and CNN were both reporting that the explosives used in the Tube bombing attacks appeared to be all from the same batch or at least of the same type.
This suggests that the Tube attacks were the work of a single bomb-carrying saboteur: was the bus bombing then a mistake made by the bomber, who was actually riding that double-decker to go somewhere else with the last bomb or bombs ?
Why make four bombs, plant three, then take a stroll and a bus ride with the fourth in your kit bag ?
These bombs were designed to kill civilians and passengers on the underground trains, and there was apparently no plan to use follow-on bombs to kill emergency workers and helpers, as has been so common in the Iraq insurgency of late !!
My money goes now to the anti-British Serbians who are still angry over what happened in Greater Serbia, a.k.a. the former Yugoslavia, some ten years ago.
This does not smell like Al Qaeda anymore, no sir.
