Interesting that the Benfield Hazard Research Centre is at University College (part of London University), quite close to the site of the bus bomb, but does Benfield employ, all told, as many as 1000 people in London? They say they only employ 1700 people worldwide:

Not that I know how many people Conran employs in London, but it must be quite a few if you take those who work at the Great Eastern Hotel (five star, 267 rooms, 4 restaurants) and those in the shops and restaurants in London.
