Re: Reader, correction: JOSEPH'S PILLOW, NOT A....
Hi Hobie,
I have a book by Maree Moore called "The Dove, the Rose & the Sceptre"
published by Joshua Books that describes the significance of this particular
"pillow" or stone. She cites the published works of J. H. Allen and others in
referring to the object as Jacob's Pillow, not Joseph's or Abraham's. At the
close of Chapter 5, Ms. Moore writes the following:
"The Covenant/blessings granted by God, began with Abraham when his son Isaac
was born. Isaac had twin sons, Esau and Jacob (whom God later renamed Israel).
From the time of their conception, Esau and Jacob's mother, Rebecca, was
informed by God that 'Two nations are within you. You will give birth to two
rival peoples. One will be stronger than the other; the older shall serve the
younger.'
Jacob had twelve sons who formed the Twelve Tribes of Israel which included the
House of Dan and the House of Judah. Jacob had a dream upon his stone pillow,
which later became known as the Stone of Destiny...It was at this point that
the Lord told Jacob to change his name to Israel and that all of his
descendants would be of the House of Israel.
The covenants (agreements) were between the Lord and Abraham, and the blessings
eventually passed to Jacob's favourite son Joseph, and then to his twin sons,
Ephraim and Manassah.

In Chapter 10 of her book, the author states that during the reign of King
Nebuchadnezzar, the Prophet Jeremiah helped Princess Tea Tephi, the daugther of
Zedekiah, the exiled king of Judah, escape to Ireland where she perpetuated her
lineage. Jeremiah and the Princess brought Jacob's Pillow with them. The author
claims that the party also brought the Ark of the Covenant. Princess Tea Telphi
evantually married Ulster Prince Heremon and was crowned on the Stone of
Destiny (aka Jacob's Pillow) at the royal palace of Tara.
According to Ms. Moore, the rock symbolizes the Celtic Church and that the
descendants of Tea Telphi and Heremon have been the secret custodians of this
artifact. Every king and queen who has reigned in Ireland, Scotland, or England
has allegedly been crowned upon this same coronation stone (or copy of same, as
some historians claim).
