Ever wondered why daylight saving was invented? The main purpose of Daylight Saving Time (called "Summer Time" many places in the world) is "...to make better use of daylight..."

It is said that the idea of daylight saving was first conceived by noone less than Benjamin Franklin during his sojourn as an American delegate in Paris in 1784. So he was concerned about "saving energy" at THAT TIME? In Paris? Hummm, hummm...
As you can read in Franklin's essay, "An Economical Project" which he wrote in a letter to his friend Antoine Alexis-Francois Cadet de Vaux, editor of the Journal de Paris, who encouraged him to work on "simple, yet important, problems":
"...On the assumption that 100,000 Parisian families burned half a pound of candles per hour for an average of seven hours per day (the average time for the summer months between dawn and the accustomed -- he claimed -- rising of the population at noon), the account would stand thus:
"183 nights between 20 March and 20 September times 7 hours per night of candle usage equals 1,281 hours for a half year of candle usage. Multiplying by 100,000 families gives 128,100,000 hours by candlelight. Each candle requires half a pound of tallow and wax, thus a total of 64,050,000 pounds. At a price of thirty sols per pounds of tallow and wax (two hundred sols make one livre tournois), the total sum comes to 96,075,000 livre tournois.
"An immense sum," the astonished Franklin concluded, "that the city of Paris might save every year."...
So again, everything around that "damn'd OIL"...LOiL! In 1784!! Can you anticipate now, how far those "roots" are reaching? What was good for "PARIS" in the 18th century - must be good for you as well TODAY. Saving energies, saving costs - maximizing your "output" for the "machine"...

Your economical "value" is MORE IMPORTANT to your "rulers" than your wellbeing as a human individual in the context and "flow" of your natural RYTHMS - provided by nature.
It is "natural" - if you live in HARMONY with the cycles of the seasons - that you sleep more during Winter-months and stay awake longer during the longer days of Summer. You adapt to the changing of the seasons - and you feel HEALTHY.
The times of the "changing" - Spring and Autumn - you should give your body the opportunity to ADAPT. That is the main reason for all those FLUES occuring exactly at these seasons of "transition": Your body longs for attention and CHANGES! You don´t provide it due to your 9-5 job - and he reacts by getting "sick" - though forcing you to STAY IN BED LONGER...
By "inventing" ANOTHER ARTIFICIAL "INDUSTRIAL" MEASUREMENT - like "Daylight Saving" - we BOW our heads and will under a RITUAL promoting a principle far away from NATURE. We obey and pay tribute to the MOLOCH of WORK rather by sacrifizing our "natural (well)being" as HUMANS than living a natural life.
So we do agree in "living" as SLAVES...
THINK! You are CONDITIONED like a Pawlow dog to start your OWN DAILY RYTHM one hour ahead of your "inner clock". The ptbs call: "Jump"! And you only ask: "How high should I"? Can't you see that you are treated like an irresponsible child?

And all this can be read from a simple hour that is manipulated for your "wellbeing", for your "benefit" and for "enjoying those sunny summer evenings"...
