For non chess players: Each chess game side has one queen. She is the most powerful piece on the board because she can move almost allover the board at will. You try not to lose the queen if you can, but when you lose her, you make sure 2-3 pieces of the adversary go down with her. When the game ends, or is close to the end, the rule is that a pawn, moving at a slow rate of one square per move, can be transformed into a queen when it reaches the last row across the board... which is why we don`t waste pawns gratuitously, or so my dad taught me in Chess one on one... and I guess Chess is a formalized formula for life, or such...
This is why we take greatest care of each pawn.
"Queens" and other powerful playing pieces come and go,
there is always a new queen, a new deal, a new world...
but the pawns....... well, they count for much more...
they can one day be a new queen that wins the game!
There are too many chiefs and not enough Indians on this board, too many heads of states and CEOs, and not enough ordinary people given a chance to realize their dreams. We will change this.
