I also have this nagging feeling that the disaster is made to look better for EU. I feel 80% voted and the result was more likely 60% vs 40%. Here in Le Monde a good article editorial, of which i highlight this one line with translation:
"Comment se sentir citoyen d'un espace géographique dont on est incapable de situer les limites et de nommer les capitales ?"
"How to feel like being a citizen of a geographical space of which one is incapable of situating the boundaries or of naming the capital cities?"
Like Candide in Voltaire, the French are not for BIG belief systems. Time to cultivate again the French Garden.
