Linked to the Ancient Middle and Near East by 3000 years of the recorded history, Ethiopia and Eritrea, the fabled Land of Punt, has inspired the imagination of travelers for many decades.
The Kingdom of Axum (Aksum) - founded by descendants of King Solomon and the legendary Queen of Sheba in Yemen - where much of Ethiopia's culture originated from, was one of the oldest empires of Africa.
Spices, incense, gold and ivory were traded via the ancient port of Adulis across Southern Arabia into India, Ceylon and Rome during the Classical and Early Christian periods, establishing its wealth and power as equal to Rome and Byzantium.
Later, as Axum's power waned, a usurping dynasty was installed at Lalibäla (Lalibela, Lalibala) - where, in the late 12th century - the enormous project of carving out a series of churches from the solid rock was undertaken. It is said that this monstrous undertaking was managed by the aid of white Angels...
Now read this experience from a reader who WAS THERE:
Dear Farsight3,
I lived in Ethiopia for three years and visited the site at Lalibela three
times. In one of the churches, I cannot remember which one, there is a pillar
totally wrapped in cloth which no one is allowed to view. It is said to have
the history of the churches on it as well as other secret information. it is
huge!
The other thing about this place is the energy! For me it is very negative.
The first I went there I managed to go into the four churches in the lower
level but felt a great saddness and depression which finally drove me out of
the churches. I sat outside and cried. That night I could not sleep because
the tears flowed all night. I swore never to go back but did twice because of
visitors who wanted to go there. Each time after, as we drove towards the
mountian, I again experienced a great saddness. I did not go into the churches
after the first time. It is an awesome construction but has a very negative
energy. I feel what ever lies there is very dark indeed. Axum on the other
hand, has an energy that is totally opposite. It is up lifting and bright.
I thought you might be interested in my experiences.

Thank you very much for your "report on location". This makes us better than CBNCSSNWC. Indeed a strong place. The experienced outburst of energy might have been connected with a relief of your own energies which was kindof "triggered" by this place. As it is situated inside the "womb" of Earth - and even in vulcanic material - it connects with deep hurtings, blocked and supressed feelings. See it as a kind of "initiation" and don't be afraid of it.
Strange - by looking at some pics of the place - I had some visions of indeed strange things going on. I had impression of an attempt of three 'strong' men to 'unite the existing religions' which was supressed by the female energy of that place and led to horrible atrocities, blood-rites and dark happenings.
Enclosed you'll find a foto from the inside of one of those TWELVE places. From: http://www.utoronto.ca/deeds/pubs/golgotha/golgotha.html
Thank you again for your sharing and be blessed in throwing unnecessary fears "overboard". ;-) C-onnect with yourself and embrace your wonderful being....
Some think the Arc Of The Covenant was taken to Ethiopia sometime BC. Could be
the obelisk (a symbol of the sun "god" baal) was traded for it. Not a
coincidence this happened at the same time the new pope was elected (which was
11 days after jpII's funeral / eclipse) and before the pope is coronated on
passover.

Thank you! Interesting thought that there was a "deal" originating from long time ago the RCC was involved into. Moreover if you watch the design of those monuments in rock and take into consideration that "hint" of those "white Angels" any involvement of the Templars (or another connected group - as there are many indeed) is highly possible.
Makes all sense.
Regarding the ARC OF THE COVENANT there are lot's of stories pointing towards that FACT. I think it was there and was later moved to...
Hmm, better ask Spielburg or his "Indiana-Jones-simplification"...
