America's new "Homeland Security Czar" Michael Chertoff doesn't like to talk about his childhood very much, probably because much of it was spent in Israel. Given the fact that his mother was an Israeli citizen, and that Michael is also an Israeli citizen (probably a dual-national), it is hard to imagine that given the intense Zionist and Talmudic character of his family that he would not have visited Israel on several occasions as a child.
"My childhood was...average...Nothing stands out. It all kinds of blends into the murky past," he told The Star Ledger of Newark in March 2001. How convenient.
Pressed for more details about his past, Chertoff reclined in his chair and said, "I'll take the Fifth."
No why would an intelligent person with intelligent parents have nothing to say about their childhood? Usually it is because they have something to hide. In Chertoff's case it is clearly his Israeli roots.
"My religious and spiritual beliefs are pretty much what I want them to be," he said. Given his background, this must mean that he is a devoted Talmudist, which should concern Americans who are not Jewish. Especially since this man is the head of "Homeland Security" for the United States.
The Talmud is the essential law that governs the behaviour and thinking of most Jews in America. It professes a Jewish exclusivist world view that is profoundly anti-Christian. It is actually anti-anything that is not Jewish. His father, Gershon Baruch Chertoff, was a teacher of the Talmud, a rabbi, as was his uncle Mordecai Chertoff. Their father, Paul Chertoff, Michael's grandfather, was also "teacher" of the Talmud at a major Jewish teacher's institute (yeshiva) in New York City. When Paul Chertoff died he was described as an "Ex-professor of Talmud" in the New York Times of 1966.
Michael's father, Gershon, was the first child of Paul Chertoff from Russia, and his wife Esther Barish, from "Roumania," according to the 1930 U.S. Census. Gershon Baruch Chertoff became a graduated teacher of the Talmud in May 1935.
In 1930, the Jewish immigrant couple lived in a $90 rented apartment in Brooklyn and had three children, Gershon (15), Naomi (11), and Mordecai (7). Apart from being taught to be devoted Talmudists, the Chertoff children were also raised to become dedicated Zionists.
Naomi Chertoff was already serving her fourth term as national president of the Young Women's Zionist Organization of America when she married Monroe Seligman in 1946. Naomi had even attended Hebrew University in Palestine before Israel became a state on May 16, 1948.
Michael's uncle, Rabbi Mordecai Chertoff, married Lily Sefton in London in 1951. Because there is no published record of Gershon marrying Livia Eisen, the first airline hostess for Israel's El Al Airlines, it seems likely they were married in Israel.
Michael's mother, Livia (Eisen) Chertoff was born in Poland and "lived in Palestine and England before her marriage." It is odd that she was the first stewardess for EL AL, the Israeli state airline founded in 1948, and it is reported that she "lived in Palestine."
Why is it not reported that Chertoff's mother was a founding Zionist who lived in Israel, etc.? Certainly the New York Times knows all about Chertoff's Israeli roots. Why are they not reporting it?
Livia also participated in the Operation Magic Carpet in 1949, bringing Yemenite Jews to Israel, so why is it not reported that she lived in Israel. Again, is something being intentionally hidden? It would appear so.
Livia was not hired by EL AL just for her good looks. The first hostess for Israel's fledgling airline in 1948 probably had very good connections to the Israeli military and intelligence apparatus. Her London connection reinforces that belief. With her "striking" appearance and position with EL AL, it seems likely that she was one of Mossad's first female agents.
British Intelligence created the Israeli intelligence service, Mossad, after all.
