For those unfamiliar with magnetic bearings, it's simple. In a rotating device you arrange magnets such that their poles repel the magnets on the stationary part. This "lifts" the rotor a small distance from the stator, so you eliminate friction between them.

That alone is nifty. But if you build your device a la a certain geometric pattern taken from an ancient Egyptian wall painting, the initial spin you give it manually will gradually increase on its own till the whole thing starts to defy gravity.

Am I going too fast?

Okay. Canadian David Hamel was the first I know of to build one. He got the idea from aliens. Hamel's second model took off straight up and disappeared. His neighborhood had a blackout. He got visits from Men In Black. Hamel is into personal freedom. He kept working.

Lots of Overunity Devices were tried based on this model. (Overunity: If the power required to operate the thing=1, the thing puts out 1+x amount of power. The x means it outputs more than the input, so it'a a free energy generator.) You've read here that such devices are in the underground bunkers. We're paying at the pumps.

I suspect these devices reach a certain state via electromagnetic energy and then produce a coherent, useful form of vacuum-spin, or tensor, energy. The Russians did alot of work on tensor physics. I read one paper where they put a duck in a tensor transmitter and a chicken in a tensor receiver, and after several weeks the chicken's feet were webbed. What kind of sauce would you serve with Webbed Chicken?

Tensor energy goes out in one of those curiously recurring patterns in nature: a double helix. Like DNA. Like the Hindu Ida and Pingala. Like the Caduceus. Tensor energy seems to be instantaneous rather than limited by lightspeed. Aluminum, and certain alignments of plastic sheeting will stop it. Nothing else will. Not even the reaches of space.

The political question is this: If they're running teasers for IT before Dubya is even inaugurated (which is not what we could call inevitable at this point), why are they so confident the NUWOs will let them market it? Perhaps the answer lies within the bowels of some huge parvenu artifact now sloughing off interstellar dust into the Pacific Deeps somwhere off Tahiti....
