From this discussion one thing is abundantly clear: Americans don't know what President George W. Bush means with this hand gesture.
Since I started this discussion last night, informed Americans have given more than a half dozen explanations for what the president means with this symbol: Satanic salute, Masonic salute, teenagers trying to be cool, "hang loose," Univ. of Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M (Waco), "I love you," Univ. of Texas alumni, and "south Texas greeting."
The fact that George W. Bush did not go to Univ. of Texas or Texas A & M didn't mean much to those who believe the president is flashing the symbol of a school he did not even attend.
The fact that he belongs to a satanic senior year society of Anglophile patricians who practice black mass and sexual perversion as part of their initiation rite was also ignored.

Maybe Silvio Berlusconi and Tom Ridge just want us all to "hang loose."
Maybe Prince William and the royal family just want to tell us all, "I love you."
Even the fake "Paul McCartney" wants us to know that he is either a Mason, a UT fan, a satanist, or...that he loves us!
Yeah, that's it! These people are all devout Christians and love us all deeply. They just seem to have a hard time saying it and acting like they really mean it.
