We covered all of this once before... and I have to admit... I can't remember what the outcome was.
The hand signal is very similar to the hand signal the University of Texas uses... there were people throughout the audience using the same symbol... waving their hands in the air to the tune of the Texas theme song.
I do remember that one signal has the thumb touching the fingers, the other signal has the thmb sticking straight out. I saw many different versions of the signal in the crowd.
If I am not mistaken... this hand signal is also very similar to the deaf sign for "I love You!"
Anyway.... all this aside... we covered this quite thoroughly a year or so ago. I believe it was Oliver Haddo who came in with the actual pictures and explained everything to us so we all understood.
Can I ask EVERYONE to do a search in the archives and see if you can find it... and if you can't.... maybe Oliver will pop up again soon and repost his information.
What we are dealing with is three hand signals that are all very similar. What I saw was a bunch of people in the audience who were flashing ALL three of the hand signals.
Let's find out what they look like!!

: The Chicago Sun-Times chose to run a photo on today's front
: page that shows Jenna Bush giving the Satanic Salute over
: the heads of her mother and father, President George W.
: Bush.
: Of all the possible photos at their disposal, why did the
: Sun-Times choose to run this photo?

: Why is George W. Bush so keen to flash the Satanic Salute? Why
: does he show this gesture so often and in so many ways? Why
: is he never asked, "What does that hand gesture
: mean?"
: The book, Satanism in America, (p.42) identifies this gesture
: as the Horned Hand: "The 'Horned Hand' is the sign of
: recognition between those who are in the occult. . ."
: A website on occult symbols calls it "the universal
: greeting sign of Satanists."
: "This sign is flashed when one or more satanists are
: identifying themselves to each other," the site says.
: "It has been seen displayed at many rock concerts by both
: the musical artists, and the audience. It does not mean 'I
: love you,' or 'one more,' or even 'hook em' horns.'
: It means 'hail satan.'
