Dear Friends,
this Mercury retrograde period beginning on Monday and lasting until December 20th has a peculiar tone to it because it involves Mars-Venus in Scorpio, and Scorpio ruler Pluto & Mercury and Sagittarius. Keep in mind Mercury is in its opposite or fall sign in Sag, sort of inflated to the max, in info overload and themes of exaggerations are to be watched and be cautious about. Not much that will originally be written and read now will make much sense, but later we look at what of it was valid... good advice is we double-check what sources show us.
All the usual Mercury retro rules and precautions do apply as well, such as watch how you drive, or handle machinery, or how you schedule appointments, or better even, do review what was done in the past months, use this three week period to fix things that could not be attended to while things accelerated, and do not begin something new now. The aspects are good, not bad, so I expect we can use this phase constructively without disruption, as the pace slows down slightly. But only slightly.
The main point - see the above post this one answers to - is that Mercury in Sagittarius is in an odd truth or dare position, as well as flooded by big scheme theories and tall tales without having the details to back any of it up, and we see it in the news or lack of real truthful news. It is a great time to review the details and technical solutions of how publish important philosophical and truth-seeking work.
The issue then is that Mercury is stationing now basically on Pluto's line, which means we need to do deep research now, that is it in a nutshell, and people must be cautious not to become paranoid or fear based in their thought, because Pluto can give Mercury a very probing energy that might add to the confusion when seeking the truth, which as what the alignment is about, as well as trying to open an international or far reaching view of the world where information is gathered and compared.
In any case it is a good thing that Mercury now rests and goes back as seen from our earth view point, while we re-assemble everything we have just digested and explored. Planet of cognitive transaction is standing still on December 20th in the 11th degree of Sag - in beautifully assisted position to Jupiter in mid Libra by then, and also in equally beneficial and inspiring aspect to Neptune - enhancing perception and cognition, and it will take another three weeks until January 9th to move back forward again to the end of Sag where it is now, and again it will cross a third time over the line of Pluto then, so the Plutonian impact of Mercury becomes strong, powerful, empowered, or obsessive, depending on where it falls in your chart of birth, so be mindful of all this, and the advice is:
Take it easy. The year is over basically, we will not really receive any relevant new news until January 2005, however, we get a chance now to re-assess and finetune and correct things we did this last year, so the year ends on a really great note when many planets will line up in Sagittarius.
