Perhaps I'm a touch off topic here, but I feel it's time.
Thinking outside the box contrarian thoughts, but, the only country that has never, ever been publicly suggested, by anyone, as the lead culprit in the attacks of 911, is the country that was the first to leap to our aid and has never left it.
They are just NOT suspects.
Every powerful country on earth, including the US itself, is thrown around the net as "could have had a hand in attacking America"
Who could you NOT, in a million light years, retaliate against
militarily?
Irritating little conundrum to say the least?
Don't everyone scream denial all at once.

FWIW just some breadcrumbs I noticed on the 911 pathways.
What I seldom hear anyone mention in all the rhetoric (about the Presidents action/lack of action on the morning of 911) are the statements by Condoleza Rice in several venues of interviews regarding the concern over governmental-decapitation...meaning taking out all the top-level people holding constitutional authority-successory offices. I thought this concern was also the motive of congressional work to develop a recovery plan should disaster casualties (house and/or senate) equal or exceed the numbers of members requisite for quorum. Given the extent and degree of SOP vetting from the White House, I took her statements then when IN EXTREMIS--and continue to--as strong indications of deep concern over very real threat.

One reader suggests a committee. Let's think here a moment. What can the President tell us about what is going on? Does he have the good sense to keep some things to himself and attempt to work on them for a correction. I think so. Imo, too many committees to little correct action.
Re: 4: Xenophobic? I don't think so! In fact, I believe it is the recent immigrants who have come to our country and who came legally, went through the process of becoming an American citizen who really understand the wondrous aspects of our Nation. Most value American citizenship and their right to vote.
I have a neighbor who immigrated from Iran. This is her first time voting. We also have a woman from Iran who came to this country in the 80's and who now is running for office. Who better to speak of freedom, the right to vote than those who have actually lived under true dictatorship rule?
Our country certainly is enriched by immigrants. Different foods, cultures, traditions etc. I consider myself blessed to have been born in America and yet my ancient ancestors were also
immigrants!
I cannot speak of course for any one but myself, family and friends. We are not xenophobic! Our neighborhood and family embrace people who are different than we are. After all, we do not buy into the robotic rule; 'do as I say.' We suggest 'what do you think and why?'
5. Re dividing country. In my state of Oregon I can tell you that there are some Oregonians who purposely and deliberately do what they can to stir up the people, they lie, they steal, they inflame.
In fact in this years Voter's pamphlet, our Secretary of State, Bill Bradbury allows any one to spread lies and provide false information in the pamphlet. All any one needs to do that is simply pay the State money! I think that is unethical, improper, and utimately wrong! This practice however has been going on in the Sec. of State office at least since the early 90's, I don't recall earlier than that. The law needs to be changed. So our Voter's pamphlet has now become the new 'Oregon Enquirer' with some lies and extortions. It appears to be another way to confuse some people.
Yet there is a calm sense here as well. We understand that the Presidential election is important of course, but that the real important races are on the local and state levels in order to elect individuals who will do what is right rather than what is politically correct.
We understand that if our candidates loose, IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!
This election cycle has awoken many, many people to become positively active. We are not going back to sleep after the election regardless of who wins! Our eyes are like the eagles eyes and we will be watching very closely and demanding they be held accountable.
The true hope is the good American people!
