I have been following your "moon" articles for quite sometime. I have no experience in measuring the azimuth and such (to tell the truth, I don't even know what azimuth means...) But, in response to your article that included the link to the NASA site that showed the monthly libration, I thought, "Well, this is something that I can see for myself." So, I did! I went out last night somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00 on an errand for my daughter. I noticed the moon--beautiful, full, and very bright white. I studied the orientation of the "man in the moon" and how I had to hold my head to see it--pretty much straight up like normal. Then, I went to sleep. I had to get up way earlier this morning than usual, cuz I was singing special music at my church. I went outside about 5:15 a.m. I could hardly believe my eyes. I had to turn my head about a quarter-turn to see the "man in the moon". I was truly amazed. I went back inside and did a few little things, and then I came out again about 15 minutes later. The moon was lower on the horizon, but I still had to turn my head about a quarter-turn down on the right (clockwise) to see the same orientation that I had seen the night before with my head held up. I live in Longmont, Colorado...I am 47 years old and quite sane. Jesus said in Luke 21:25-28 that there will signs in the sun and moon and stars before His second coming. I wonder if this is the beginning of one of those signs? It's certainly interesting!!! Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

The few occassion I get to see the Moon lately, it seems to be rising and setting on time here in the southern hemisphere. I have not observed its librations. Your link more or less illustrates what I suspect is happening to Earth...not only the Chandler wobble but regular bouts of an axis tilting motion. Have you been observing any changes to the other planets in our solar system? If the past is merely a shadow of the future then the myths and legends of yesteryear suggest the planets also wander off their courses: they should have notable changes too. The Earth, by contrast is thought to move off its orbit ONLY when approached by a sizable celestial body. Otherwise it seems when the Sun switches off, as part of a rejuvenation process, the planets wander off their courses, but the Earth doesn't wander off its course..it rolls over. The myths suggest when this happens it is a relatively benign event.
However, the roll-over is harbinger to a catastrophe a few years down the road. When the roll-over happens and the Sun switches back on perhaps we do well to ask, What does this portend?

so what are you trying to say,that the moon is going to break free of its orbit and hit earth,or is earth going to hit the moon, you know you realy should be a little more specific,about what you think this means, or what might happen, if you dont e-mail me back on this, at least do a follow up post cause everyone is not a rocket scientist like you!!!!!

Hi Cliff! Hmm. big signs in the 'sun,moon and stars' I must say! Been keeping an eye on the skies since the passing of comet neat 2002 v1! Remember that big comet? Anyhoos...
Last nite I gazed at la lune since we had no cloudy weather here for a change! It was very bright and only the top sliver was dark,so almost a full moon. Interesting happenings lately, my patio door is due straight south but now, within the last year reads SSE! Ok, I lived here in the same place for 13 years and always towards the st mary's river, so wth? Well at 1pm I took a gander at it was at a say 45 degree incline from the horizon and in the direction of SW on my compass.
Also when looking at the soho feed and my star chart books, they seem to be a half month off. Either that or I am reading my sky charts wrong by a month! Still a novice in that area! LOL.
Well since last year I started recording quake and solar data. I noticed a increase in mags from 2-4 peaks of mag 6's to the present 4,5 and 6 and peaks of mag 7's. Also an great increase of dormant volcanoes becoming active.I seen the surface of sol under go a change and is darker as in a helium burn. I would surmise with the passing of comet neat 2002 v1. Since the Fall last year, we only started getting a bit of a surface back. But still very thin. At the time the sun started it whitening look and the increase of lunar brightness. Even at present the earth seems still very unstable,even with the passing of neat 2002 v1. Hey also those meteorites? Hey, check out soho SWAN pic for july 2,very bright incoming spots there, then after we hear of all those meteorites in news articles! Hey, what did you think of all those comets in mid-april to early may? I counted 5 incoming comets. Bradfield was a real surprise on the soho feed btw!
And now we having that incoming galatic dust cloud and the prophecy of the Destroyer from the Kolbrin! And I think it also is in native prophecy as well.
Other weird science news from articles, I read the harrington study and the heating up of outer planets and poleshifts. News articles of the science sort of our solar system planets giving off more brightness,pole meltings,magnetic reversals etc....
Back on earth, gse's ( global silent or slow quakes)which I never heard of till last year, cos by the flaring and bombardment of the solar winds against earth causing it to ring like a bell! Reaction... quaking and volcanic activity. Also with the solar winds bombarding earth it pulls down the jet stream which equates to violitile weathern patterns and storms etc.,get the picture. Been watching the weathernetwork and never seen such winter jetstreams in summer like the past year or two!

All this stuff sounds so reminiscent of Isaiah 24:19..."the earth is violently broken,the earth split open,the earth is shaken exceedenly and the earth will reel like a drunkard,and totter like a hut.It's trangression shall be heavy upon it and it will fall and not rise again.It shall come to pass in that day (Day of the Lord!) that the Lord will punish on high, the host of exalted ones and on the earth, the kings of the earth." Well something is definitely happening, esp. after reading about the hopi going underground after their final cermonies, speaking that we have entered the time of the Great Purification aka Great Trib for bible folks!
I do not worry about these things tho, I trust the Creator God in all He does, Jesus warned us and so did the prophets of old. So nothing new under the sun. It just means the beginning of an new Age,for bible folks that is the Return of Messiah Jesus and the Era of Peace on Earth finally! Hmm...real peace,now that would be very good!LOL. I like! :) Hmm... what is the body anyways, a shell, a means to get from point A to B,I await that heavenly tent of incorruptable essence! :) Anyways the temporal one is aging, is handicapped (darn aches , pains, degeneration of bones and muscle, and disease - Um..ya...I'm massively handicapped,can ya tell?) is very limited in scope and bonded by the laws governing the Fall in the Garden. And darn it,it gets me in trouble alot! Darn carnal flesh!LOL. Anyways.... The temporal body is governed by age,atrophy and death! Things I have no use for! LOL. Only solace is the inner life of Spirit. That inner place of conversing with God and Jesus thru the Spirit of God.

Not being very versed in things astronomical, my first question is what does this mean in a practical sense.?
I presume that a wobble means 1) a change in the center of gravity, but what does that get us? 2) a destruction of the current moons orbit. What will that get us? A runaway object that may fly off toward outer space, or toward earth. If Earth, it could create a breakup of the earth. If toward outer space, there go tides, etc., many things that we have evolved with. No a pretty picture for humanity.
However, items such as the moon are free to change their rotational periods, without necessarily changing their orbital mechanics. In fact, a misshaped load on a long string suspended from a crane will naturally find and rotate about its natural center of gravity. If that center of gravity is far from the point of attachment of the string, it will wobble as it rotates, but not necessarily disasterously.
You obviously have more intimate knowledge about these things. What terrifies you?

A lot of pieces seem to be coming together, sedna, libration, weather patterns; and i now need to know one thing:
WHEN will nibiru/planet x return?(be it a dead star OR a planet)
is this to be in our lifetime or our offspring?
With the decommisiioning of hubble, and no real space flights in the near future, isnt it very possible that this could be very soon? hence america limiting our vision.
how the hell are we going to know before it is too late?
how do you calculate where and when if you cant see?
