Controlled demolition and World Trade Center Building 7
a 47 story skyscraper that collapsed on 9/11 (it wasn't hit by planes or the collapsing towers ...
The video footage that is publicly available shows beyond any doubt that building 7 was brought down in a controlled demolition.
When demolition companies intentionally destroy large buildings, they try to have the building collapse into its own footprint to avoid "collateral damage" to nearby structures.
This is accomplished by placing numerous explosive charges at key points around the building frame, and then carefully timing the detonation.
The available video footage (archived at the website http://www.wtc7.net) shows the building falling straight down, without any toppling over. If fire had weakened supports in the lower floors, it is reasonable to assume that the collapse would have been much more irregular (more like the cutting of a tree, not a uniform vertical plunge).
In this instance, a picture (or movie) is worth more than a thousand words.
An additional complication shown by the video evidence: the rooftop penthouse, which contained mechanical equipment for the building's utilities, started to drop a split second before the exterior walls.
One goal of controlled demolitions of skyscrapers is to have the internal part of the building collapse before the walls, and then the walls are drawn inward to fall on top of the interior parts.
Most fires don't get hotter than 900 to 1,100 degrees F. The World Trade Center fire may have reached 1,300 or 1,400 degrees F. Structural steel does not easily melt, but it will lose about half its strength at 1,200 degrees F.
It is still bearing the articles that claim that the WTC fires were burning at > 1,000 deg F in "open air" thus buckling the steel frames ...this is not possible to achieve - fires in open air do not get to those temperatures.
But perhaps Thermite will and maybe that was what really happened .....
