Hello Aladdin, a regular reader of rmn here,
I remember reading some stories and quotes from people present to the effect that there were shutdowns of services and evacuation drills taking place at the WTC just prior to 9-11.
Another I recall was that bombs were heard going off right
before the collapses, which I read in a People magazine that Sept.

WTC WATCH: EYE-WITNESS ACCOUNT - PLEASE READ

I just received (from my good friend) a dramatic and horrifying
account of what happened to a friend of hers on September 11 in New York. I was particularly struck by this segment of the account of what happened AFTER both airplanes hit:

I cannot reveal the name of the person involved (for security
reasons), all I can say is that they were an eye witness to what many of us already suspect - THAT THE TOWERS WERE IMPLODED BY EXPLOSIVES PLACED AT GROUND-ZERO PRIOR TO THE ATTACK - I have contacted the person in question via email and will try to find out more information. There may be other eyewitness accounts that will come forward.
You have my 100% assurance that the friend who sent this to me would not be perpetrating a hoax. She is completely devastated by the events and is not even thinking about conspiracy - but just marvelling at the courage and heroism of her friend who went into the tower to try to give help.

Magnusson, chairman-CEO of Skilling Ward Magnusson Barkshire Inc., Seattle, one of the successor firms of Skilling Ward Christiansen Robertson, structural engineer for the original World Trade Center, agrees: "From what I observed on TV, it appeared that the floor diaphragm, necessary to brace the exterior columns, had lost connection to the exterior wall."

Observing the collapses on television news, Loizeaux says the 1,362-ft-tall south tower, which was hit at about the 60th floor, failed much as one would like fell a tree. That is what was expected, says Loizeaux. But the 1,368-ft-tall north tower, similarly hit but at about the 90th floor, "telescoped," says Loizeaux. It failed vertically, he adds, rather than falling over. "I don't have a clue," says Loizeaux, regarding the cause of the telescoping.
