When the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination began, in earnest, there were three political leaders in the midst of the fray with Yale College as their alma mater:
U.S. Senator Joseph I. Lieberman '64, formerly the Attorney General of Connecticut, a graduate of Yale College and of Yale Law. When he ran for the State Senate in New Haven in 1970, a Law student named Bill Clinton helped manage his campaign.
U.S. Senator John F. Kerry, '66, formerly with the Swift boats in Viet Nam, and one of the country's most prominent anti-war activists after he returned from his duty with his Purple Hearts. Surprisingly, the hoary old pictures of him side by side with "Hanoi" Jane Fonda don't seem to be getting much play this year. One wonders why that is. Kerry, being very tall, was probably "The Big Devil" at Skull & Bones, or the tallest man in the group of fifteen juniors selected to join that secretive society. Although Kerry professes to be a good Roman Catholic, one also wonders how he can have a sworn oath in Chapter Two of the Brotherhood of Death, and be loyal to the Church of John Paul II as well ??
Governor of Vermont, Doctor Howard Dean III was graduated from Yale College in 1971. He lived through three years, therefore, of the utmost social turmoil. Yale went through all of the disruptions of the turbulent 1960s in spades, with anti-war protests, teach-ins, draft resistance rallies, the incredibly controversial trial of the Black Panthers and the enormous MAY DAY demonstrations of 1970. Following the murders of four students at Kent State, and two at Jackson State, Yale College went on a student strike, most of the faculty joined in and no classes were held from the 5th of May onwards until September.
Additionally, Yale lurched into partial co-education during the time that Howard Dean was there as an undergraduate.

Finally ... the former Governor of Texas, and current President of the United States, George Walker Bush, attended Yale in the middle of the 1960s and well before most of the social and political turmoil erupted there. Being in the Class of 1968, it is entirely possible he knew the older student, John Kerry, but not necessarily on a first-name basis. At least not in the beginning. Knowing the way Skull & Bones operates, it is a sure thing that they know many people in common, and that they know the fathers and uncles of their fellow members of Skull & Bones as well. More to the point, they surely knew the female cousins and sisters of other members of Skull & Bones, for there is a rather tight social circle of prominent families who have intermarried with Bones members over the past twelve decades.
The Pierces know the Bush family, and the Bushes married into the Walker family and everybody knows the Verity and Buckley families. And all of them know that a large section of Yale's older endowments came from the coffers of the family Sterling. By contrast, Thomas Jovin sent his beloved daughter to Yale, not a large endowment. He's just famous, and brilliant, not rich.
BEING DEAD MEANS NEVER GETTING TO VOTE AGAIN
But so far as is known, none of the Democratic leaders named here have ever shown any concern over the peculiar circumstances of the way Suzanne Jovin met her death, on a balmy evening in December of 1998, only hours after submitting a senior thesis on the subject of Osama bin Laden.
It is a big disgrace to know that Joseph Lieberman, who owns a house in New Haven, hasn't ever seemed to be very concerned over getting a solution to this cold-blooded crime, where a young German-speaking Yale student died ( knowing now, as we do, that the so-called hijackers of 9/11 had a constant interface with operatives located in Germany ).
It is sad and pathetic to see the fiery, fiesty Howard Dean making the rounds of the television shows to offer his unqualified support for John Forbes Kerry: Dean, who said he was concerned about the loss of good-paying jobs in these United States, who was against the creation of a Condition of War, now actively supports Mr. I Voted For NAFTA and Mr. I Voted For Going To War ( But Maybe Not For Actually Getting There ).
As President, George W. Bush ginned up the War on Terror in the immediate aftermath of the September 11th massacres: he named Osama bin Laden as public enemy number one, with nobody even close to being second. As President he has the authority to order the Department of Justice to use the F.B.I. or any other executive branch agency to help ferret out Al Qaeda operatives and their cells. But apparently, the fact that a young woman of Yale who was actively researching the network of Osama bin Laden was also brutally murdered, means nothing much to him.
Bush and Kerry are cut from the stripe of cloth: they are the sons of wealth and privilege, they had all the breaks and took their shares gladly whenever the 'gravy' was offered. They belong to the same social circles and they joined the same secretive senior society. They stand for the same things ... which amounts to this and this alone ... "more for me, please".
Bush and Kerry, Kerry and Bush.
One is taller than the other. That's it. Make your choice.
The silence of the patch of ground where Suzanne Jovin died sounds louder, right now, than all of the voices of their paid flacks, hacks, shills, yes-men, talk show pontificators, pollsters and prognosticators, forecasters, vote-counters, and card-shufflers combined.
But please don't wait for either one of these moral cowards to step forward and say -- "Hey ! there's a girl who got herself killed by checking up on Osama bin Laden back in '98, and I want to know why and I want to know who done it !!"
After all, Ms. Jovin is dead. She can't vote in Florida or Massachusetts or anywhere else this year.
Therefore, she no longer matters ....
