Re: 911 ENDGAME...PROOF, NO CELL PHONE CALLS F....
Hi,
I'm an RF engineer in the San Diego area. I read the original story in the San
Diego paper about the Qualcomm test with some interest - Qualcomm is located in
San Diego. An important detail that has been overlooked is that this test had a
special cellular base station installed on the plane - in other words, the
plane took it's own "cellular tower" with it for the cell phones to contact.
There was a satellite connection involved - but that was between the cellular
base station installed on the plane and the satellite. I'm guessing, but I
assume the satellite connection to the base station in the plane was probably
the same as the in-flight pay phones installed in the planes now.
As to the reported 911 calls, I think it is pretty clear that it is technically
improbable that anyone at 35,000 feet could make a call on his or her own cell
phone (without one of these new experimental Qualcomm base stations installed
on the plane). But, assuming the hijackers didn't turn off the in-plane pay
phones in the seats of many planes, perhaps someone could have made a call from
one of those. But, I remember the stories of the time, and the words "cell
phone" were used. Interestingly enough, after the first couple of days, all
mention of these reported phone conversations vanished from the mainstream
coverage. If the calls were real, anyone who's flown in a large airplane
recently would know about the "in-flight" pay phones (you use a credit card)
and that would be a believable scenario. That would leave the question of why
didn't the hijackers instruct the service to be turned off, but that's another
matter. But, the general media used the "cell phone" angle and then dropped the
story as if it never happened. (Is this Orwell's "1984" twenty years late -
where the history is continually re-written to reflect the official view of
today?) In all, it's highly suspicious (the original 911 cell phone story).
