WHO WAS PRINCE SULTAN BIN FAISAL BIN TURKI AL-SAUD ?
TWO YEARS AGO ON JULY 23RD, A ROYAL NEPHEW OF THE KING OF SAUDI ARABIA DIED IN A ONE-CAR CRASH WHILE EN ROUTE TO A FUNERAL:
Prince Sultan bin Faisal bin Turki al-Saud was the second prince of the house of Saud to die in a suspicious manner in July of 2002. He was forty-one years old when he died in "a high-speed crash"
The previous day, July 22nd by the western calendar, it was reported that another well-known prince had died of a heart attack in his sleep !! He was forty-three years old.
What matters, in this peculiar circumstance, was that Prince Sultan bin Faisal bin Turki had been named as being an Al Qaeda contact by the man who was supposedly the Chief of operations for Al Qaeda, thirty-year old Abu Zubaydah. This gentleman had been supposedly been seized in the course of a raid carried out on the 28th of March, 2002, in the Pakistani city of Faisalabad. Many media outlets did not carry any notice of the raid or the supposed capture of Zubaydah until the 30th of March.
Drawing heavily on information published by Gerald Posner in his book on the failure of U.S. intelligence services to forestall the massacres of September 11th -- Why America Slept -- the Times of India published an article in their on line edition for September 1, 2003. In that piece ( which is linked below ), Posner cites sources indicating that the key links between Osama bin Laden and the Al Qaeda were forged in meetings beginning in 1991, with Prince Turki al-Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, the chief of intelligence for the kingdom of Saudi Arabia !!
At least three Princes of the Saudi regime ( there are several thousand ), were named by Abu Zubaydah during his interrogation by U.S. agents ( including some who masqueraded as being Saudi intelligence operatives ), in Afghanistan ....
