Yes, I too would like to confirm the above with my observations from the Black Forest in Germany. On Friday morning at 4:50 am the moon was very!!! low on the horizon, moving horizontally!!, before cloud obscured further viewing.
Then, for the next two days the moon did not appear before midnight.
On monday morning it was at its usually observed height in the sky. But now it had a marked shadow on its bottom right corner (SSE looking at it from earth.).
The horizontal movement was observed like this:
I was on my way to work and noticed the moon unusally far south.
Since it did not seem to be setting, I stopped the car and while stationary at the side of the road observed the moon moving over tree tops of the wood some 250m away from me. During the next ten! minutes the moon traversed the sky a distance covered by the tip of my left pointing finger held outstretched before me at arms length, equivalent to three prominent tree tops, without setting further.
Then cloud moved in from the west and obscured further viewing.
