I grew up knowing an Italian artist and his Swedish wife. He died in the early 1980's, I think while I was in Israel (misbehaving, for me, every day was Purim). A few years later she sold their property (the value of which had gone through the roof by that time) and moved to the Pacific Northwest, taking all the art with her.
She stayed with nephews or other blood relations who were involved in what I can only think of as a U.F.O. cult. She also came to be a committed believer in this cult or new religious movement (nrm).
I remember talking with her about this whole aliens-as-saviors thing. (She was very old by the time she made preparations to move to the Pacific Northwest) They believe(d?) that Capt. Something or Other was waiting for some event to occur at which time he would bring his mothership out from behind the moon and carry off the faithful.
I bring this up now because of the mothership-behind-the-moon motif that appears in the information you've posted above. Do you anything about this movement I've called a U.F.O. cult?
