Subject: CARL KLANG IS HOME- Sheriff was shocked at his following!
CARL KLANG, songwriter, author, advocate has been released from a Wyoming jail .... advocates learned of his incarceration about two weeks ago that he has been in a jail in Wyoming since December. People posted Habeas paperwork and others were reported to be filing it, apparently it worked. We have seen the Habeas work many times and used it ourselves as well to get out of jail. They will release the prisoner and not have a hearing. Looks like that is what they are doing this time too.
As the following describes, the peoples efforts WORKED and forced his release. We will post more as we learn about the situation. We are glad Carl is out, and wish the best for him. Glad also that the people see their efforts WORK - the pressure on public servants is what "moves the court", and we have to help each other.

Carl arrived here last nite. We took him to the hospital immediately -- there was no other option given his condition.
*WHAT condition? Does he have a medical condition? Or was he beaten up in custody? What is/was wrong with him?--Susan
Within 2 hours, he was feeling much better...he had not received ANY treatment despite my calls. (I couldn't believe that.)
*Does he have a chronic illness of some sort?--Susan
He is in for 3 days to stabilize, and then we'll see. He had lost 20 lbs, and frankly was in bad shape, but he is now feeling better and will probably be in touch within the week.
*Did they starve him in there? Why did he lose 20 pounds?!--Susan
The jail got 150 calls on Thursday. We don't know how many the District Attorney got, my guess is MANY more. Carl knows about this, and he says he is very grateful to all who took the time to call. The Sheriff was shocked at his "following."
*There WOULD be many people who oppose the government atrocities at Waco and Ruby Ridge. Things like that transcend religious denominations. At least they ought to. What was the excuse for locking him up again?--Susan
Carl says he was treated very well, as a result (though I don't agree!). The local press covered the whole thing. He was allowed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor and go.
*Why did he not plead NOT guilty and demand a trial by jury?--Susan
He could not have been out on his own. His friend drove about 1500 miles one way to get him. Thank God.
Thanks for your concern and help. Please post something letting people know their help was critical in moving things ahead quickly.
*Exactly what did he plead guilty to? What will the consequences of that plea be?--Susan
