All matters of symbolism aside, the Super Bowl Halftime Scandal continues to show all the markings of a contrived crisis.
Now, in addition to the FCC's investigation of the incident, both houses of Congress will conduct simultaneous inquiries:

Also, another network (TNT) has announced it will use a 10-second audio delay for another awards show (SAG). See this article from Variety:

An audio delay, of course, will be of no use if someone should decide to flash a breast. But it will work wonderfully to prevent any impromptu anti-war speeches.
Also, the Variety article notes that it is an "odd coincidence" that Fox Entertainment's film and TV units met yesterday for a half-day seminar titled "Producing Content in the New Millennium: Balancing Creativity and Responsibility."
It's no coincidence. This has been planned for a long time. Janet Jackson's breast is the Reichstag Fire to provide the pretext for a general tightening of control over broadcast content. That has probably been the reason all along for the increasing depravity of television programs. It conveniently presents the perfect excuse for censorship.
Also, as you will see in the following news story, a woman is filing a class action lawsuit seeking billions of dollars, claiming "serious injury" from the Super Bowl telecast. I've no doubt she and her children really were traumatized by the incident. I think that was the intention of the telecast. It was meant to shock; only if people are outraged enough will they support more and more and more and more rules, regulations, and laws. Also, if the telecast is seen as a ritualistic psychodrama of some sort, a shock to the mass mind was probably intended as well, for some esoteric mind contol purpose.
Here's the story about the lawsuit:
