BENJAMIN CREME SAYS CAPTURED SADAM IS FAKE
There are a few groups I occasionally check in on, just to see what they are up to lately. This includes the Share International group of Benjamin Creme which has long been predicting the appearance of Maitreya, a spiritual teacher being hailed as the long-awaited one of many religious groups. I have no idea what to make of it but got intrigued in the 80s due to its extraordinary claims and its vague connection to the Theosophists, another group whose ideas I had studied and from which the great world teacher J. Krishnamurti had come.
One of the extraordinary claims of this group is that on a certain day this Maitreya will appear on worldwide television and each person will hear his words telepathically in his own language. That's a fairly specific claim so it will be either proven or disproven without doubt. Later on when I was studying Tom Bearden's scalar electromagnetic theories about psychoenergetics I realized that very soon such a seeming miracle as mass-telepathy might become possible through entirely technological means alone, and I started wondering if this group would have the means to actually pull off such an event that way. So my interest in tracking this group was kind of kept alive.
Their website is HERE. For the introductory tour you can click here.
Another reason I did not dismiss the group, or Creme, out of hand was that the message of the group, and its goals and objectives, are good one. It is hard to find fault with the idea that mankind must make a breakthrough and learn to share the world's abundant gifts equitibly among all people. Few would argue against creating a world full of love, ending useless human suffering, and finding a way of living according to divine truths.
It their monthly newsletter Benjamin Creme often answers various reader's questions which often includes commented on world affairs and events. These answers are given in a kind of absolute and authoritative way, as if Creme "knows everything" for certain, and I find that a little off-putting. Krishnamurti had long ago made me very wary of accepting any "spiritual authority" so I tend to be a bit suspicious of that approach, but I take note of Creme's statements anyway because I don't believe he is your run-of-the-mill charlaton in any case.
With that in mind, today I came across a recent statement of his stating that the Sadam who was captured was in fact a double, and not the real Sadam. Apparently Creme had stated previously that Sadam had died in a bombing in April, so maybe he just didn't want to have to retract that earlier statement, I don't know. Anyway I thought it was interesting enough to share.

Saddam Hussein?
A story calling for investigation
In a news release sent to media worldwide on 8 April 2003 we published our information that Saddam Hussein had been injured in the first bombing of Iraq on 20 March 2003 and died two days later from his injuries.
So who has now been captured by American forces?
In our view certainly not Saddam Hussein but an obvious stand-in, of whom we understand there are at least three: two cousins and a close friend all with similar family characteristics. We believe he is the same man — a cousin — seen on Iraqi television on 4 April 2003, who picked up a child and laughed and waved to the crowds. His body language was completely different from that of Saddam Hussein. The end of his nose was much broader than that of Saddam and he had moles on his temple and forehead — identical with the captured person. At that time commentators were perfectly ready to question the identity of the man seen on video. Now everyone seems conveniently to have dropped any enquiry or second thoughts.
The Americans claim that DNA samples taken from the captive relate to that of Saddam Hussein. How do they know? With what are they comparing them? In any case, a cousin would obviously share some of Saddam’s genetic features. From the beginning of the Iraq conflict the proven lies from this US administration, particularly about the weapons of mass destruction, give little confidence that their information should be believed.
We are convinced that eventually the truth will emerge — that this confused man now captured is not Saddam Hussein, but a double who may well have been part of a plot to keep the fact of Saddam’s death from the Iraqi people for as long as possible.
