A man of thought! Let me share a view with you that I developed over the past 30 some odd years. Maybe this is quantum thinking, I don't know.
The premise: your thoughts create your reality. Let me expand on this by using Jesus as an example. If you believe that Jesus existed as told in the bible, and if you believe he performed miracles, you probably also believe that his teachings were meant for everyone and not just his disciples. If thats true, then we all should be able to do the same things. He did say that if we had the faith of a grain of mustard seed that we could literally move mountains. But what did he mean by that and how do we do it? He meant believe as I do. He "convinced" himself that he could, and "acted as if" he could. He went one step further saying all our needs could be fulfilled..."whatever you ask of the Father in My name, you shall receive". So how do we ask? He said, "Go into a small dark room, quiet your mind and ask the Father in secret, and he will answer you openly". I understand that as "how to pray".
So I believe the future of man to come to a time where he understands the keys of quieting the mind, asking, convincing himself he has received it, and acting as if he has.
One time the disciples were in a boat and they spied Jesus walking on the water. Peter said...Jesus if I can also do this, bid me to come....Jesus said come, and Peter walked on the water toward Him...soon though, he began to sink under the water and shouted for help. Jesus asked him, "why did you doubt?"
