There are only two companies making standard (Tomahawk sized) cruise
missile engines for the US services: Williams International and TCM-
TE (Teledyne Continental Motors - Turbine Engines).
I was a manufacturing engineer at TCM-TE on all their cruise missile
(Harpoon, JASSM, ITALD) and man-rated engine (J69) programs.
The approximate diameter of the engines is 10 to 12 inches with the
first stage being the centrif (centrifugal compressor rotor). The
centrif is a Hersey Kiss shaped piece. It does not have any outer
ring around the large blade OD.
Clearly, the part in the picture is larger is about 24 inches in
diameter. It also appears to have a nosepiece like device on its
front. This is probably houses bearings, front oil sump and perhaps
an alternator or starter. Cruise missile engines use an explosive
start cartridge.
In addition, the OD appears to be ringed over the blades (unless this
is part of the combustor housing).
In my opinion, this fan did not come from a cruise missile engine.
