The US American public has no ability to influence foreign affairs, unless we consider well-organized and funded special interests = corporate interests.
At this late date, some conservative, right-ring types are becoming disgruntled. Job loss in the USA is becoming BIG, including white collar jobs such as programmers, billing and call centers being farmed to SE Asia/India … and the average Joe has no clue ... and I have no clue why the military is involved.
Line worker in packing plant asked to go Malaysia to teach workers there. Marketing Director for multi-national begins this fall meeting WalMart (client) executives in Hong Kong. Assembly plants are pulling out of Mexico and going to …. SE Asia.
