Re: ARIZONA INDYMEDIA QUOTES JOE VIALLS ON BALI
Greetings Aladdin:
I don't expect that you will post this, for obvious reasons, but I must write it nonetheless.
I have only this to say about Joe Vaills article on the Bali Mini Nuke.
HOGWASH -- HOGWASH-- HOGWASH
Obviously Mr. Vaills is not familiar with explosives.
To compare an explosion contained in a confined space (four feet under ground)
with a car bomb of ANY magnitude is sheer ignorance. I will not waste print with a discourse on the physics of impeded Vs unimpeded expanding gas, but rest assured that Mr. Vailles does himself, AND journalism a big disfavor by using this kind of analogy to support his propaganda.
I will give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he is just plain unfamiliar with the subject about which he has chosen to pontificate. To assume otherwise would place his motives beneath contempt.
Unfortunately, uninitiated readers will give unwarranted credibility to his erroneous comparisons. If Joe wants to talk about craters, Let me take him on a tour of some of our old US firebases in Vietnam. Craters are a dime a dozen over there and we made thousands of them using all kinds of different ordinance.
Joe Vaills needs to do a little bit of soul searching. Failing that, I recommend that he do at least a cosmetic amount of research on the subject he intends to inflict upon us.
One broadside from the Mighty MO did more damage than Mr. Vaills claims was done by splitting the atom. Sadly, I can say that although the Big MO could do a lot of damage, She can't hold a candle to the damage done by agendas that engender fraudulant articles such as the one written by Mr. Vaills.
I have news for Mr. Vaills. A shell from a battlewagon ain't that big, but velocity is a wonderful thing. As for ordinance Vs the size of Mr. Vaills "sewer," a briefcase full of properly contained (confined) plastic explosive (not to mention some of the even more advanced cutting edge explosives) will more than suffice to blow a lot more than "two tons" of roadway to hell and back and leave a VERY nice hole, thank you very much!
Come on Joe, You can do better than this!
