I resided in Austin a little over two years ago when the chem-spraying was a daily occurence, however I think the objective then was to promote infection among the female, elderly and child population.
The reason I say this is because while there, many of the women seemed to always present with various types of female, and UTI infections while the elderly seemed to be dying at an excelerated pace.
Once upon seeking treatment for myself, the physican told me that local Center of Disease Control was alarmed by the number of cases of children presenting with chronic infections of all types. The alarm was a result of the many bacteria becoming resistent to the antibiotic's typically used to treat such illness'.
Obviously, the focus has changed in its direction, but I am sure it is no less evil in its design. When you mix in the fact that Austin was a city just about to burst at the seams with so many new families moving there because of the then prosperous technical market, the test field was perfect.
Personally, I think the sigh of relief is being breathed too soon. I would continue to be on the look out for gastro-intestinal disturbances and surprise food poisoning in certain areas. Pay close attention to any film you might find on your automobile or anything you may leave uncovered in the out of doors. They are usually your best indicators of concentrated spraying. If you have children, or work out doors make sure to wear gloves or wash your hands often. Keep anti-bacterial soap available and never assume any produce you purchase has been washed.
Like Dizzy Dean says,"It ain't braggin if you can do it," it ain't paranoid if you can prove it!
