Quick thought to your line, taken from the first post in this thread. Two thirds of all U.S. currency is overseas, whether as physical dollars or electronic ones. The Euro has already displaced the U.S. dollar in a great amount of international trade. Should OPEC join the Euro bandwagon, that will add another large vacuum for U.S. currency.
Bring all that money home to roost and hyperinflation would hit the U.S. economy. So the key would be to find a home (outside of U.S. borders) for all that money. One home is in the opening of foreign wars. Just a thought.
