Calif. Teen Pleads Guilty to 2001 School Shooting

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Reuters) - A San Diego teenager pleaded
guilty on Thursday to murdering two students and attempting to
kill 13 others in a bloody school shooting last year during a
spate of gun violence in U.S. schools.
Charles "Andy" Williams was 15 years old when he opened
fire at his Santana High School in March 2001 after reportedly
suffering months of bullying from fellow students.
Williams, who could face life in prison [under California's Proposition 21], had previously
pleaded not guilty to the charges. He changed his plea at a
pretrial hearing and will be sentenced on August 15.
