It is Babylonian in origin - [it predates the Laws brought by Moses] - there is an introductory version JUDAISM101 which puts most things in place.

Plus last but not least a Muslim "unmask" version.
This Book of Laws called the Talmud will answer your question but you will have to do more readings!

What is the truth?
That perhaps there are no more "real" Jews (i.e. those of the original Judaic faith) in the world today - the ones you see "claiming to be" Jews are IMPOSTERS!
The "few" of faith, still guided by the Mosaic TORAH, have no voice and suffer the same fate as the rest of us ...
There is much you can do to find out but if reading tires you then there is not much we can do ...
