Re: Shroud of Turin-Jesus or Templar Jacques de Mo
: Bradford University lecturer Robert Lomas and colleague

: the face on the

Another idea with this theory might be that as the Knights Templar, in their time (12th c.), were highly respected and very effective 'special forces for Christ', they would likely have been trained to endure interrogation, torture, etc. if caught by the Saracens. Its known that (officially at least, in the halls of academia) that there aren't any records that have survived about the details of how the Templars actually trained their men, but perhaps something might surface along these lines, too---as the editor of the Italian magazine implied in the article posted about this. (But he didn't give any more details....) Again, this is the type of information that wouldn't be publicly available, so maybe Gunther heard something specific about this...
: As many of you know, I believe the Austrian contingent of

: these two articles have made it into the mainstream media.
: It makes me think that very soon we are going to hear
: something extraordinary coming from either Faction Two, or
: the Knights Templars.
Could be....perhaps, they likely 'went east' as much as 'west' after the suppression of 1312?....(or even 'north' or 'south'?) I think that the whole 'la Rochelle' story about the 'fleet' disappearing is just a mere cover story for the real truth. (I mean, if you were the French king, la Rochelle, as a major Templar port, would probably be the first place you would have your guards stationed, to keep a watchful eye.!...) So, a few ships may have left, but certainly not an entire fleet. Never would the strategic Templars EVER put all of their eggs in one basket, so you may be right....I guess time will tell.
