I think it is very possible that Professor Wiley was kidnapped/abducted.
I was just told of a EMP technology that is used from planes & can stop all cars older than 1988.
Most "UFOs" are from Earth; some inner.
There are many accounts of UFOs stopping the car before someone is "abducted".
He also did research on Ebola, a virus of interest for biowarfare.
So, combination of knowledge of immune system & Ebola may have made him a target for the Biowarfare Nazis; especially if he had some integrity & ethics which I suspect he did.

OK, look at the list of pathogens he was working with; all biowarfare, including HIV.
He was also investigating the function of the T Lymphocytes, a key white Blood cell in immume function AND the cell membrane structure.
I think he was deep into the modeling of how these pathogens get in the cell and then how the immune system deals with them.
He had to have noticed that some of these have had genetic alterations to make them more pathogenic.
He must have been working for a very key core group of Nazis. He may not have realized it at first.
He may also have finally realized the Aids scam and what that was about.
He had all the pieces to blow the whole biowarfare future terrorism scams out of the water.
