Things are moving fast. Just over a week ago it was reported in the Times that the Home Office had a prototype of a national identity card ready in preparation for the introduction of ID cards for all Britons. What's more the development and testing of the cards and been done in secret -- although spin doctors will deny that and say that it was done with "minimal media exposure." It was also reported that biometric information would digitally encoded on the cards -- along with with personality profile and political affiliations maybe?
