Well said Gnostic!! I sent a note to Rayelan a couple of weeks ago begging her to make it a subscription site for $1 month. I already contribute $10/month which is more than I give to any other site I subscribe to, so I think I am doing my part.
This begging is really getting old. This is a job and she needs to get paid. The sooner she wakes up to this the better for all, especially her. I contribute and I still feel guilty when I read the beg emails!
I don't want to see this site go down, but this continual blaming the viewers for the money issues has got to stop. It's human nature to not want to pay for something you can get for free. However, if you charge a small fee, I bet anything that you will see that most people will value the service and be happy to pay a nonimal fee. I'm also not buying the argument that $1 a month is too much, even with the financial times we are in.

I totally agree with you, Raye hates to ask for help every month also, it is an embarassment for everyone because it is kind of like having your pants fall down in the street light. That is why some of the agents have taken it upon themselves to aid in this help even though they are being ridiculed also. They are trying to relieve some of the pain off of Rayelan.
It is no fun, but real bills need to be paid and as of this point there was no other way, unless RMN shuts down. This is a service and it needs to be paid for. Whether you call it a business, or service it warrants reciprocity. However I agree it comes across like we are blaming people. Yet what is occurring is we are saying this, if you want this service from RMN you will need to support it, if not then so be it. But the truth is as I have been yelling outloud, it is not FREE. Those that think it is are extremely misled.
I already received a bunch of hate emails today saying I was forcing people to give ME their money. Do they really think I receive a penny from this? All I was saying is it needs to be a subscription site period. I did not ask anyone this time to send in money. I don't believe this method works. Sure it may get you by but it is not successful. So a subscription is so there will be no more begging every month. This is why I gave this advice that clearly some cannot understand.
This is why a subscription site is the way to go, because people will help when they have to, knowing RMN aint gonna be around for them if they do not subscribe, it is that simple. And no one will have to brow beat them. If you want the service then pay for it...There are hundreds of thousands of people that will hate to see RMN go and many will help when asked, especially for a buck amonth, and especially during these times of excitement, but if it remains free, why pay...
If I can help save RMN even if it means sacrificing my agent's status, I will do so. The work here at RMN is greater than what I can do alone. I am meaningless in the whole picture alone, it is by the efforts of many that warrant success.
