When the mystery schools of Egypt/Africa and the mystery schools of the British Isles and Europe needed to go underground, they created a way of finding their "kindred" souls.
They created traveling circuses.
Each of the performers I have named above had a job.
JUGGLERS, ACROBATS, BARDS AND JESTERS (CLOWNS
The acrobats were the body guards. They were trained in martial arts and could keep their group safe.
The bards sang songs in an "awakening" key. The jesters in the traveling circus kept a keen watch on the people in the audience hoping to see the awakening signs which would tell him that he had found one of his long lost soul-family members.
The Jesters (Clowns) were the leaders of the troupe. They were the high priests of these secret orders. Jester's had a way of making people laugh and through the laughter they could drop many of the traumas they had carried through past lives.
At the moment, I can't remember what the jugglers did. I know they used their juggling balls to put people into a slight trance, but I can't remember what the purpose of this was. Maybe it was to aid in the healing. I just can't remember. It's been a long time since I read about this, and I can't even remember where I read it.
If the traveling circus found one of their long lost soul-family members, it was an easy thing to convince the person to "run away with the circus."
A circus, dance troupe, orchestra, or other "entertainment arts" have long been used as spies or to carry covert information in and out of "locked down" countries like the former East Block countries.
I mention this because of the "circus" that brought the lion cub to meet the Pope. Was there more to their meeting with the Pope than meets the eye?? Was some kind of secret message being telegraphed to those who have eyes to see?
VATICAN CITY -- Pope Benedict XVI has been greeted by an unusual guest during his weekly audience at the Vatican: a feisty lion cub.
The beast was brought to the pontiff in the Vatican's Paul VI hall on Wednesday as part of a performance by members of the Medrano Circus. An amused Benedict looked on as jugglers in sparkling costumes performed. He got up when the lion cub was carried closer so he could pat it.

And it wasn't even an adult lion, it was a "cub".
I can't help but wonder if he was telegraphing a message to someone, someone who has already been called The Lion King?

Here is the painting by Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. I added this because I know that Toulouse-Lautrec was a member of the French royal family. How they survived the purge of the Revolution, I don't know. It makes me wonder if Henri... a product of generational inbreeding, was also privvy to certain secrets. And I wonder if he posted any symbols in this painting.
