I came across something very interesting recently when reading a history of the Rothschilds which I think was on four winds. The official story, which I think is misleading(of course)is that they really made it big with the battle of Waterloo- I am sure you are familiar with the story- and Nathan R took over Britain thereafter. In this history I was amazed to read that Nathan's father had already been lending money to America-Waterloo was 1815. I will try to find it again.
