Let me just say this. This story has opened up a big can of worms. There is untold anger out there over Paul Pantone. There is also support for Mr. Pantone. I have been involved in a regalia of emails from various people expressing their opinions and some of them not so nice.
There are two camps out there.
1) Those that were bilked out of money by Pantone and want him in prison.
2) Those that feel that his treatment in the mental facility is cruel and unjustified.
If you search the web for Mr. Pantone, you will find a wealth of information on him. I will leave it up to you, the readers, to conduct your own research and make up your own mind. The anger goes deep when it comes to this man and I can clearly understand from that perspective why that would be so. It seems as though the wheels of justice stopped when Paul Pantone appeared. Then when you try to understand how one could be so cruelly treated, thrown in a mental institution, and force-fed psychotropics, you then get an email that says he parlayed his situation by playing the ‘diminished capacity’ card, which I guess landed him in a mental hospital. It’s almost impossible to wade through the mounds of internet articles and come to a final conclusion.
The dynamics of this case are more than I want to deal with. From a humanitarian aspect, I did what I would do for anyone and that is to simply try and help. I never heard of this man prior to yesterday and the last 24 hours have not been very pleasant. I will not post anymore information about Paul Pantone as I am sure that if I did, I would start to get hate mail.
