Meanwhile, Volkswagen did send its own experts to examine the crushed wreckage of Joerg Haider´s car and search for signs it may have been sabotaged. According to an article in the British Tabloid The Sun, the German car company "sparked fury" by linking the death of Haider to that of Princess Diana.
VW spokesman Peter Thul claimed "that someone with access to Haider’s car key could have manipulated the limo’s electrics which control the engine’s brain".
"It is a fact that Haider was going too fast, but such a speed on that curve is not a problem for the car’s physics.
The Phaeton and Audi A8 are the safest of all. You’d need the key to manipulate the electronics, so someone at a garage would have to tamper with it.

All those latest "revealings" and "leaks" running throughout Austria´s press indeed seem to bear the hallmarks of a clear CAMPAIGN with the goal to demonize Haider even further:
He should have been gay (Btw.- he is NOT!). He was stated to be completeley drunk (more than 1.8 pm that must have been consumed by Haider within half an hour!). At the time of the assault - oops, sorry - accident - he drove first at 140 kmph (according to instruments and official ´eport), now it has changed to 175 kmph already, while you can read even of 180 or more than 200 already in some presstitutes. All this in a zone where 70 kmph were permitted. He had a secret life (How´s about some privacy?). He was allegedly writing a Short-Message on his mobile while he was driving to death, etc...
