I also agree that it takes a few years but money talks and the people get dumped on, again, and again and again. Susoni ******************************************************* Hi Susoni, If reader R thinks that the DOE or the NRC are going to protect the USA, or do a better job than ARIVA they're not familiar with the history. AEC was none better. However, it seems like a new twist to have multinational nuclear operations on US soil. Have we tried that before? The liscencing process is slow, even when protests are not on going. When Seabrook went on line it was nearly ten years delayed, cost many times what it would have, and it was one reactor instead of two that was made operative. Protests were a big part of that, but the nuclear industry went forward anyway,in total defiance of the democratic process. But as far as Ariva going to a third world country... the lava flats in Idaho might be pretty close... Also due noting regarding the tendency to go to a 3rd world countrys is that the river ARIVA just contaminated in the south coast of France is not much more than 100 miles from Monaco. But then again that nuclear power plant is from 1975. How 'bout we call them ARIVA-derchi; after all "it's the nuke that must go and not me my friend..." New slogan; "Protect our borders; Say Ariva-derchi" M
