The movement of Venus beyond the Sun (Superior Conjunction) occurred last night around 19 minutes past midnight EDT, or late on the 8th by Eastern Standard Time. The Conjunction pegs to 18+ (19) degrees of Gemini in the Tropical Zodiac.
19 Gemini was the degree of another event, the conjunction of a pair of planets, weighted with importance because the pair met in the degree of the North Node (where the Moon every month crosses from South to North of Earth's plane of orbit around the Sun). In divinatory lexicon the North Node represents the "Arm of the Future". Our field of experience encompasses Past Present and Future. The NN symbolically describes relevant features of our Future with which we sustain ongoing connection and involvement, our "approach to relationship".
The precisely conjunct planetary pair was Venus and Mars. Venus actually occluded Mars -- briefly the two planets aligned precisely for our eyes and Mars was hidden behind Venus in 18+ (19) Gemini, quarter of a degree from NN and also in 19 Gemini.
GEMINI DISPLAY is a handy name for this "triple conjunction" of May 10, 2002. The pair met in 19 Gemini at the "Arm of the Future". It was an extremely rare event, a portent of forthcoming resolution in the ancient polarity wars, between forces aiming to cultivate maximum imbalance and others aiming to restore balance. Only a couple days later Venus passed before the Sun (Inferior Conjunction), marking the start of a new Venus-Sun cycle as observed from Earth.
The Superior Conjunction is second in importance after the Inferior Conjunction that begins the cycle.
